Our Process

We take a thoughtful, step-by-step approach to care. Explore each step in detail below to learn how we guide you through the process with clarity, care and intention.

  • We provide thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care grounded in a deep understanding of each patient. Our process begins with a thorough, unhurried evaluation designed to explore your history, current concerns, and full range of symptoms in depth. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, we assess patterns, contributing factors, and personal context to develop an accurate, personalized diagnosis.

The initial evaluation is dedicated to understanding the complete picture—your experiences, needs, and goals—before any diagnosis or treatment plan is established.

Evaluation timelines vary by age group:

    • Adult evaluations are typically completed in a single appointment.

    • Child and adolescent evaluations are typically completed over one to two appointments.

For child and adolescent patients, evaluations include both joint sessions with parents and dedicated one-on-one time with the provider to ensure each perspective is fully heard.

  • Following the evaluation, we then develop an individualized treatment plan tailored specifically to you — integrating your goals, preferences, and clinical needs. This may include medication management, therapeutic recommendations, and lifestyle considerations, all designed to support meaningful and lasting improvement. Our priority is to ensure you feel heard, understood, and actively involved in a collaborative process that promotes clarity, stability, and overall well-being.

  • Progress in psychiatric care is rarely linear, and consistent follow-up is essential to ensuring your treatment continues to serve you well. Through regular appointments, we monitor your response to treatment, revisit your goals, and make thoughtful adjustments to medications or your treatment plan as needed. These visits are an opportunity to address new or evolving concerns and refine our approach based on your experience — remaining a responsive, engaged partner in your care every step of the way.

  • When appropriate, we coordinate care with other professionals and supports in your life — such as primary care providers, therapists, schools, teachers, and family members — to ensure a well-rounded and cohesive approach. This integrated perspective helps create consistency across environments and strengthens the overall effectiveness of treatment, so that you receive support that is aligned, informed, and truly comprehensive.
