A Note on Insurance

To preserve the integrity, quality, and flexibility of care we provide, Somos Psychiatry operates outside of insurance networks. This allows us to avoid many of the limitations often imposed by insurance companies—such as restricted session lengths, constrained treatment approaches, and requirements around specific diagnoses—and instead focus fully on delivering thoughtful, individualized care tailored to your needs.

Our priority is to create a space where clinical decisions are guided by what is most appropriate for you, rather than by external administrative constraints. This approach supports a more personalized, in-depth, and responsive treatment experience.

While we do not bill insurance directly, we are happy to support patients who wish to use out-of-network benefits. We can provide detailed documentation, such as a superbill, which you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement based on your plan.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to come to your session or evaluation and need to cancel, please let us know more than 48-hours in advance. If you do not attend the appointment without giving adequate notice, you will be charged the cost of the session or evaluation.
