Costs

To preserve the integrity and flexibility of the level of care provided by Somos Psychiatry, our practice operates outside of insurance networks. This allows us to avoid the constraints often imposed by insurance companies—such as limited session times, restricted treatment options, or diagnostic requirements—and instead focus fully on providing the thoughtful, individualized care you deserve.

While we do not bill insurance directly, we can provide you with detailed documentation (such as a superbill) should you choose to pursue out-of-network reimbursement with your insurance provider.

Initial Evaluation

The initial evaluation is where we take the time to understand the full picture — your history, your concerns, and your goals — before any diagnosis or treatment plan is made.

Parents and child/adolescent patients are seen together. Adolescent patients also have individual time with our providers to share their own perspective.

  • Child/Adolescent Evaluation (up to 60 min): $400 per appointment; typically completed over 1-2 appointments.

  • Adult Evaluation (90 min): $550 per appointment; completed in one appointment.

Medication Management Follow-Up

Medication management follow-up appointments are focused visits to monitor your response to psychiatric medication and ensure treatment is working safely and effectively. We will review current symptoms, assess medication effectiveness, discuss any side effects, and make any necessary adjustments. These visits also provide an opportunity to check in on your overall functioning at home, at school, and socially.

Follow-up appointments are typically shorter than an initial evaluation and are scheduled at intervals determined by your clinical needs, the medication prescribed, and applicable guidelines.

  • Non-complex, stable medication management (25-30 min): $225

  • Complex medication management (40-45 min): $275

  • Very complex, unstable medication management (50-60 min): $325

Supportive Therapy

Supportive therapy offers a consistent, nonjudgmental space to process emotions, build coping skills, and work toward meaningful goals. Offered alone or alongside medication management, it allows patients and families to receive integrated psychiatric care under one roof. Sessions are tailored to each patient's age, needs, and circumstances, and may include collaboration with parents and caregivers for younger patients.

  • Individual Therapy (50-60 min): $325
